A little about us

Our Start

The KIDZone Story

We are a group of ESL teachers currently working and living in China. All of us have had terrible experiences with Recruitment Agencies abusing us in the past. That made us think: "There has to be a better way? An Agency that doesn't fiscally and emotionally take advantage of Foreigners coming for the first time!" When we didn't find one, we made it! Thats what KIDZone ESL is: A Group of Teachers for Teachers.

We met each other for the first time at a local restaurant and quickly became friends. We bonded over a conversation of shared common struggles of daily life. The conversation became more intense when we all realized previous Agents had either stolen a lot of money from us or even went as far as saying they would 'black list us" (not a thing) or "have us deported" (also not a thing) if we didn't bend to unfair and unethical practices. luckily we all got away, but we wondered how many didn't.

Our Mission

All of these reasons, and more, made us very passionate to make sure incoming ESL Teachers knew what they were getting into and how to handle it. We Strive to empower ESL Teachers to find the right jobs, at the right schools, in the best cities and with all the support they need. We strive to never forget why we started, and to make sure no one has to tell another story like ours over dinner.

*Pro Tip- if an agency ever tells you they will charge you for ANYTHING agency related or want you to work for THEM they are lying and stealing from you. Don't fall for it. If you do, we can help you get connected to people that work on that stuff for free. We said we have been burned before, remember?

What we do

We are a recruiting Agency. So we help place teachers in Schools. It's a free service to you, but we make a small fee from the school. You are not held liable for it.. and never will be.

To place you we ask some general information, make sure you have all the qualifications you need, help you pick the right city and school and make it happen. Thats it!

What sets us apart

What makes us different every others agency is simple: we are outsiders. We know what it's like from a foreign prospective. This means we can give you all the 'secrets' and tools you will ACTUALLY need when you get here!

Once you find your perfect school and city that doesn't mean we leave you without some help. Other agencies just finish with you and move on. WE continue to give you as much free support as possible. We will never charge you anything, Ever. We are always just a message away.

Is a china career right for me?

Thats hard to answer. It's really all up to you and a mindset. We could lie to you and say something flowery and wonderful.. but

Truth is: Somedays suck. You already know that about life. It's not different here..

If you want to Work with Students, explore China and meet new people then yes.. its for you.

Is there 'Western Food" there?

Yes. You can find it, but its more expensive and only a 'take' on it. Local food and drink is cheaper. Give it a try as long as you are here, each area has its own style of food. Unless you really like McDonalds.. "bah da bah bah bad food.”

Is Chinese hard to learn?

Again, short answer..ABSOLUTELY! We also have partners in that field. If you put the work in you can learn to speak, read and write it well though.

Is it true I can't drink the water?

Short answer, Yes. Bottled water is the best option for all drinking needs.

What is dating like?

What's your expectation? Dating people from different cultures can be fun and challenging. just be kind and enjoy! Be prepared for some surprises along the way!

Is the Internet Banned?

There are sites you can't go to, but with a VPN you can. We have partners in that field to give you full access at a highly discounted cost. You can also find several free versions and APPS.
